Visit Ask About Games and PEGI at our Eurogamer Expo booth. Who knows you may even be filmed for Family Gamer TV.

I have fond memories of visiting Earls Court for different video-game shows when I was younger. There was a real thrill in catching a train to London and seeing games for the first time from developers big and small.

It is therefore with some excitement to announce that Ask About Games, in collaboration with PEGI, will have a stand at the Eurogamer Expo this year. We'll be offering not only advice about age ratings but also connecting families with the best way to identify the games at the show that would suit them.

The Eurogamer Expo 2013 takes place from Thursday the 26th September to Sunday the 29th September and is held at Earls Court in London. Tickets are selling fast so be sure to register sooner rather than later. If you have children of five or under they can get in for free, which is great for young families. Attendees under 16 need to be accompanied by a parent or guardian. Also, under 18s are not be permitted in the over 18s area where games of a higher age rating are exhibited even if they are accompanied by a parent.

If you've not been to something like this before it's a great chance for your family to talk more directly to the companies that make the games. They will be there with their new titles being demonstrated and you can ask questions directly to the booth representatives.

It's also an excellent way to discover games that will work well for your family. By attending together and touring the hundreds of games both big and small, you can connect with experiences that interest you before you pay money for them.

Then there are the other attendees. Gamers are generally a friendly bunch and being at an event like this gives a sense of what makes these enthusiasts and hobbyists tick. There's a real buzz of excitement as the doors open and everyone floods onto the show floor to find their favorite upcoming games.

There's even a careers fair at the expo for anyone wanting to know more about making it in the video-game industry. Maybe this could be the first step towards a new job in gaming for someone in your family? That would certainly have been useful to me when I used to visit these events back in the day.

The Ask About Games / PEGI booth will be situated towards the bottom of the elevators that grant access to the over 18 area in the show. Why not come along and talk to us. You can ask your questions direct and have our experts try and answer on the spot. You can also tell us about the games and experiences that have been good for you and your family, we're always happy to hear those stories.
