Dance Code Belle Teaches Children To Program

Featured Image for Dance Code Belle Teaches Children To Program

At New York Toy Fair in the Hasbro booth was a toy-game cross over with a difference. The Dance Code Belle doll not only offered a range of games to get the character dancing but also teaches children to code while they do it.

As you can see in the demonstration a simple drag and drop interface in the related iPad app offers an easy way in to programming for a new audience.

Children can take control of the dance moves and chain together different iterations by combining the different icons.

It's a great way for families to have fun with the doll, and would easily lead to other programming tools like Scratch.
