We talk to Guha and Karthik Bala, heads of Vicarious Visions who are developing this year's Skylanders Superchargers game. Of particular interest to families is their focus on the gender mix of characters here.

I asked Guha about the male-female mix in Skylanders Superchargers. “What we find is that our girl characters are also popular with the boys. It’s about making children feel comfortable in their own skin, finding a Skylander they can identify with.”

We also spoke to Activision's Senior Vice President about the importance of the Wii console to families and the Skylanders game this year.
