All About Lego Batman 3: Beyond Gotham
The Lego games are always popular to play with the family. While the kids can enjoy the split screen Lego action, parents will often appreciate the fan service to a variety of franchises.
Mums and dads who grew up reading DC Comics will appreciate the care and attention in the latest Lego game, Lego Batman 3: Beyond Gotham. Although it’s titles as a Batman game this is really an exscuse to bring in an impressive 150 playable DC characters.
These range from the well known to the the obscure and even the downright preposterous (Polka-Dot Man?). The character list also doesn’t stop there with real life personalities getting a look in as well. Talk show host Conan O’Brien has recently added to the roster along with comedian Kevin Smith.
This year the game continues the story from Lego Batman 2: DC Super Heroes. Brainiac is abusing the powers of the Rings from the Lantern Corps to shrink planets to pocket size. Batman and the Justice League pursuit the Legion of Doom into the far reaches of space to stop them.
As well as new characters Lego Batman 3 Beyond Gotham adds new suits and abilities to key characters in the game, with many bespoke transformations and attacks granted to particular DC heroes. Judging from our PEGI age grouped charts each week, it will be another popular title.
