Disney Infinity 3.0 Brings Star Wars, Inside Out and Marvel Play Sets

Disney have just announced this year's release of their Disney Infinity game, Disney Infinity 3.0. This is the third iteration in the series and adds a host of new Star Wars characters and locations along with other Disney characters from upcoming movies like Inside Out.

If you've not come across it before, this is one of the toys to life games. They work by placing a small plastic toy figure on an USB peripheral plugged into your game console. The character then immediate appears on the game and automatically saves progress back to the toy. Skylanders was one of the first examples with Disney Infinity following afterwards.

This year will also see more Amiibo figurines and a new Lego Dimensions toys to life product. For families it's about choosing the game that best suits their tastes and abilities. I've written a run down of the different features and family options in Disney Infinity 3.0.
