Questions of the Month for December 2
Each month we field all manner of different questions on askaboutgames. Some people have intricate queries about particular games while others want to know which console will be best for their family. Here are our picks this month.
Question: Can Skylanders Swap Force be used with the Giants Starter Pack.Answer: You can only buy Swap Force with a portal in a starter pack as the portal required is different. Swap Force comes with a Stealth Elf character that you could use in Giants. However you can not use the other two Swap Force starter pack figures in Giants as they are not supported.
Question: What type of adapter do i need to connect my regular Wii system to the internet.Answer: The Wii has a wireless internet connection built in that can be used to access the internet via your home WiFi.
Question: I have the Nintendo Classic Controller called retrolink and can not get any free games on my pc to work with them. do i need a new pc game controller or a free easy software to install to use the device?Answer: I've not come across that controller but only certain games support the classic controller as signified on the packaging.
Question: 60 years old and never played video games. Want to know where to start. Thinking Playstation 3 and a couple of games?Answer: Most modern consoles would offer games to suit all ages. On the PlayStation 3 I'd suggest that Gran Turismo driving or Tiger Woods gold may be a good place to start.
Question: I am a fan of Age of Mythology. I wanted to play it in the internet but I couldn't do it as when I attempted to create an account first of all it shows, 'Unknown error occurred while retrieving country information'. And then in the country field no country name occurred.Answer: Age of Empires Online may be a better bet for you. It's a newer version of the game designed to simplify these kind of issues?
Question: Can you use the Wii U games in the Wii because my children want these new games.Answer: The Wii U is a new console and distinct from the original Wii. It makes use of a new Gamepad controller with a screen that is required for the games, along with the new console itself. The Wii U does, however, support all the old Wii games.
