Each month we field all manner of different questions on askaboutgames. Some people have intricate queries about particular games while others want to know which console will be best for their family. Here are our picks this month.

Question: My son lives in England and has a PS3 bought there.  I live in the US and bought him the Skykanders Swap Force Starter pack.   Will this US version work on his PS3? Thanks for the help!

Answer: The PS3 is not region locked by default so the PS3 version you have may work. However some games can choose to check the region before playing. The Skylanders Swap Force figures are interchangeable regardless of region or platform.

Question: We want to play 2 player on Swap Force for PS3 how can we do this? What do I need to do? Help!

Answer: To play two player Swap Force you need the game, a PlayStation 3 console and two controllers. Provided the controllers are "synced" with the PS3 you just press a button and place a second Skylander on the portal to join in.

Question: For the game Xbox Skylanders Spyro's Adventure  can any of the characters of the others games (giants or swap force) be used?

Answer: You can only use figures from the other game that were also in Spyro's Adventure. For example all the Stealth Elf figures will work but Star Strike wouldn't as she was only created for Swap Force.

Question: I have three PS4's in my house as my 3 boys won't share and all play on them at the same time. I already connected to the internet yet have to pay £40 for each console to go on the internet  are Sony considering to do a deal for people with more than one console at home.

Answer: Although you currently need separate PlayStation Plus accounts you can still connect each console to the Internet and access PSN store and online services without the subscription.

Question: Is there anything bad in Driver 76?

Answer: Driver 76 is a PEGI 18 game with the following descriptors - "The content of this game is suitable for persons aged 18 years and over only. It contains: Multiple, motiveless killing - Violence towards defenceless people - Strong language". The ESRB added these descriptors in the US - "Blood, Drug Reference, Strong Language, Suggestive Themes, Violence."

Question: Can you please tell me what the cards, stickers and the card with the barcode are used for that come with the characters and in the starter box please.

Answer: The stickers are used to fill in the collector's wall chart. The bar code grants access to the character in the Skylanders online world and tablet games.

Question: When all the characters have died and are resting, are you able to do something to make them active again?

Answer: Skylanders characters come back and are available to use on the next level, or if you restart the current one.

Question: Can i play GT6 on my PS4 if not when is the PS4 version coming out?

Answer: GT6 is a PlayStation 3 game and not compatible with the PS4. No news currently about GT6 on PS4.

Question: Which are healthier to play regularly, home consoles or handhelds?

Answer: Both handhelds and consoles can be part of a healthy life-game balance. It is important to take regular breaks and check the PEGI ratings for the games you play.

You can check PEGI ratings on the PEGI website.
