This year's Skylanders game is called Imaginators and lets children design their own Skylanders characters to play in the game

This, along with the usual family-friendly co-operative and multi-player modes looks set to make Skylanders another popular choice. Parents should also note that they can save money by reusing all the existing toy characters they own as the game supports all of them.

Skylanders Imaginators will be available in Xbox, PlayStation and Nintendo consoles later in the year.
