It's the world's premier trade show for computer and video games and related products. This year it takes place next week, June 10-12, and is expected to draws tens of thousands of industry professionals.

The games on show at E3 will appear on the future wish-lists of players everywhere, so parents of children who play games (or who play games themselves) might want to keep an eye out for what's being touted as the next must-have game or even console.

We will be bringing you some highlights from the event as it happens, but first wanted to share this video of hopes and expectations for the next few days.

Although there will be a lot of information hitting the internet from the event, for parents looking to take an interest and participate in the hobby it's a good place to start.
