Great Video Games Staring Cats

With the recent release of Stray, cat games have been in the spotlight. If you are looking for something to play after finishing that, or indeed a cat game on another platform, here's a list of great options you'll enjoy (and your cat will enjoy watching).

1. Stray

Stray is a game about a cat lost in a futuristic city where robots live. You guide your feline friend in and out of buildings, across roads and generally poke your nose in to see what is going on.

2.Cat Quest

Cat Quest 2 is an adventure game, the sequel to Cat Quest, about a fantasy realm of cats and dogs. You explore and talk to characters who send you on quests to kill enemies in caves or retrieve hidden items.

3. Catlateral Damage: Remeowstered

Catlateral Damage is a running, jumping and knocking-things-over game where you play a mischievous cat who wants to knock its owner's belongings onto the floor. "Bother that cat," as one children's book puts it.

4. Night in the Woods

Night in the Woods follows college dropout Mae Borowski returning home to the crumbling former mining town of Possum Springs. But the place is different now her friends have grown and changed. There’s something suspicious happening in the nearby woods.

5. Rain World: Downpour

Rain World, and the expansion Downpour, are traversal and survival games where you play a half cat, half slug in a living breathing world. You must venture out and brave the other predatory creatures to find food before the rain comes and you have to hide.

6. Six Cats Under

Six Cats Under is a cute point-and-click puzzle where you are a deceased cat-lady trying to rescue your herd of cats by directing them with your poltergeist powers. The challenge is that you can only move very small things, so have to get the cats to do the work for you.

7. Super Animal Royale

Super Animal Royale is a 64-player online battle where murderous animals fight to be the last one standing. You explore and track down other animal players, using the environment and line-of-sight to your advantage.

8. Ever Seen A Cat?

Ever Seen a Cat is a hidden object puzzle game where you are trying to spot monochrome cats in different scenes. It's simple enough for players of any age to enjoy it, but has some randomisation of the levels so you need to play multiple times.

9. 11-11 Memories Retold

11-11 Memories Retold is a narrative adventure about two young men caught up in the first world war. A young photographer who joins the western front in Europe to impress a woman, and a German technician who's signs up in search of his son who is missing in action.

10. Bubbles The Cat

Bubbles The Cat is a platform game you play by tapping a single button to jump. Through hundreds of levels and six worlds, you automatically run forwards but you must tap at the right time to survive.
